I am delighted to announce that 253 children were entered into a prize draw for 100% attendance this term.  We had for lucky winners of free tickets to watch George’s Marvellous Medicine at the Curve Theatre! Well Done for coming to school every day – this will have a huge impact on your achievements.

The class and year group with the highest attendance before Christmas will win special prizes donated by Protocol Education.

Limited stock of school uniform is available to purchase from the school on Monday 11^th, Wednesday 13^th and Monday 18^th December.

From the new year, we will not be selling uniform on site. You can purchase uniform from:  Trendy Schoolwear, 113 Uppingham Road. If you are unable to get to the shop we will be offering an ordering service.  You will be required to pay for your items in advance and your order should arrive the following week.

Please remember that school lunch money must be paid by Tuesday of every week.  Please put £8.75 in a sealed envelope marked with the child’s name, class and amount.

Dear Parents & Carers

Our weeks are getting busier and busier here at Abbey. However, next week, we will definitely be starting to feel festive with our Christmas Lunch and Nativity Performance.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Y6 SATs meeting yesterday – it was fantastic to see so many of you supporting your child’s learning at such a crucial time for them

One of our local residents has raised concerns about parents parking on Bruin Street. Please be mindful of our neighbours. Also please ensure road traffic laws are followed; it is illegal to wait on pavements and double yellow lines, and seatbelts must be worn. PCSOs will be patrolling outside of school and issuing fines. We must put our children’s safety first.

Thank you to all pupils, parents and staff for raising a staggering £609.85 for the Poppy Appeal.

Well done to everyone who entered our Anti-bullying Competition. All entrants will receive an anti-bullying wrist band as every single entry contained a powerful message.

Abbey Attendance is improving and getting closer to our target of 97%. However, Class 1PS were our only class with 100% attendance last week. The class and year group with the highest attendance before Christmas will win special prizes donated by Protocol Education.
