Online Payments
We are delighted to announce the introduction of online payments (via credit and debit card) for school meals, educational visits, clubs and any other resources we may offer to parents and carers. Registration letters have been sent out, we encourage all parents and carers to register as we will be drastically reducing cash payments. Thank you for your support.
WEDUC
Some parents have mentioned not being aware of the Diwali School dinner next week as they had not seen the letter that had been given out last week. The best way to keep up to date with what is happening in the school and important messages that are being sent out is to register to the school’s online parent communication system. You will receive all correspondence from the school via WEDUC. If you have not registered already, please contact the school office.

Let me first start by saying Happy New Year to all the families that are celebrating Diwali this week! I hope you had a truly magical time, celebrating with your family and friends. Please make sure you join us next week for our Diwali celebration evenings where we can all celebrate together.
Next week will be an exciting time in school with our fabulous kitchen staff preparing a delicious Diwali dinner and the children frantically preparing for the Diwali assembly – please can you make sure, if you wish to watch the assembly, remember to buy your ticket from the office!
Your children have been working incredibly hard this week and it was lovely to see so many of you in assembly this morning. Please join us as often as you can so we can celebrate your children’s successes together.
Finally, please remember that I am happy to see parents at any time however if I am busy when you come in please make an appointment with one of the wonderful ladies in the office.

Dear Parents & Carers
Thank you all for your support this week. It was great to see so many of you during parent’s evenings. Thanks also for your (financial and tasty) contributions to our fabulous fundraising day today. We managed to raise over £740 to support the charities below. Many thanks for your hard work, generosity and initiative to raise so much money.
Leicester Tigers have made our Health & Fitness week great fun and very informative. KS2 children will be presented with a T-shirt for PE and a special water bottle after the Easter break.
Best wishes for a lovely Easter Break!

Attendance
As you are well aware, holidays are not permitted during term time. Your child’s education must and should come first.
STEM Curriculum and Science Week
Six super scientists from year 1 to 5 were given the exciting opportunity to visit Catherine Juniors recently. Their mission- to find out the answer to our scientific question, “Why should we recycle?” The children explored the question in a variety of ways, returning back to school with deeper insights into the problem of waste. Thank you Catherine Juniors for having us!
Thanks to our Curriculum STEM team: Mrs Dass, Ms Gilbert, Mrs Sandhu and Miss Fagan for planning this exciting and engaging week of learning for our whole school. We hope to continue to develop a practical, relevant and world class curriculum to develop our scientists across school.
