Abbey Primary Radio
Welcome to the Abbey Primary Radio blog page.
Abbey Primary Radio is a lively, interactive audio service that is led and managed by children. It was launched with several aims in mind:
- To develop communications with and between children and parents
- Keeping our community up-to-date with the school life and the latest news.
- To explore new digital technology.
- To develop children’s speaking and listening skills in a new and exciting field.
- To celebrate children’s achievements
The production team hold regular meetings to share ideas, monitor quality and agree on radio content for the coming shows. They then liaise with staff , children and outside agencies as appropriate to create content.
We hope you enjoy our broadcasts and please do leave a comment.

Thought for the Week
Thought for the week: “When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
