      Dear Abbey,
Hi everybody , today I am writing a blog about Mr Stink written by David Walliams . Although I am still reading it ,
I would like to write about it .

The story is about a girl named Chloe and a smelly old tramp called Mr Stink
Chloe has an evil sister who is always trying to tell her off.

Also Mr Stink is a book published in October 2009 and written by David Walliams and illustrated by Quentin Blake. The book has been adapted as a stage musical and has been made into a television film of the same name by the BBC shown during Christmas 2012 on BBC1.

Mr Stink is indeed a funny and awkward book. I look forward to reading the whole book as I really enjoy reading it .
Chloe then becomes the tramp’s friend and gives him food and shelter . She sneaks some sausages out for
him during dinner. Annabelle ( Chloe’s sister) saw her slip it on to her lap and immediately told their mother about
it . Chloe’s mother does not like Chloe and likes Annabelle better . Chloe’s mum signs up for MP and that hits Chloe. When her mother would be MP she would ban Mr Stink from their city so Chloe struggles to think of how she could help Mr Stink. One evening , Chloe hid him in the shed when no one was looking. They go to Starbucks together and Mr Stink made them coffee out of the weirdest things EVER seen !

Although I haven’t read all of it I would rate it 8/10
Thank you ever so much for reading a
      -Tiasha

Hello Bloggers, my name is Kush and I am doing a book review for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Please read on to the end and I hope you do get this book. Well done to the people who already have it.

It is the summer holidays and soon Harry Potter will be starting his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry is counting down the days; there are new spells to be learnt, more Quidditch to be played and the Hogwarts castle to continue exploring. But Harry needs to be careful – there are unexpected dangers lurking…

I can never find a boring or uninteresting moment in The Goblet of Fire and I would never get sick of reading it again and again as it’s so easy to lose myself in Harry Potter with the astounding events and distinctive characters. I really like how Hermione Granger strives through in this book as not just a clever girl, but as a girl with passion and determination. I like her complex personality; normally she is typecasted into just being ‘intelligent’, but Hermione is shown with a more girly and emotive side in this book, giving her more depth than just being Harry’s clever friend. She is well-rounded and is more accessible as a regular person (though a witch) with feelings and a personality.

In this book we regularly come across Cedric Diggory, a Hufflepuff, who allows us to see the Hufflepuff house in more depth rather than just briefly touching upon it as it has been in other books. I like how we can see the fairness Cedric strives to uphold throughout this book, showing us the value of Hufflepuffs.

Anyone who hasn’t read up to The Goblet of Fire should definitely re-think that decision as this is the book where it all changes and it’s then impossible to not continue reading the rest of the books.

The Goblet of Fire definitely deserves a 10/10 in my opinion.

4KS are currently reading ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ by C.S. Lewis. We have read the first eight chapters and so far we would give it a rating of 10 out of 10! Dhruvin says ‘I like the adventure part of the story’. Hiba says ‘I like how the story makes me want to read more because it is so interesting’. Kamran says ‘I like the story because it has lots of characters who we’re getting to know’. Together we can’t wait to finish the story and are enjoying doing the Literacy work which goes with this.

This book is called Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Long Haul.I rate this book a 10 out of 10 as it is very funny and relates to real life. The funniest part was when Greg Heffley’s mum told him Te Amo means what is your name, but it means I love you. He said it to lots of people and they gave him dirty looks.

I would recommend it to everyone as it is funny and will humor you. All books from Jeff Kinney are rib tickling including The Long Haul.

I have been reading a book called ‘Eat Your Peas’ by Kes Gray & Nick Sharratt, and the book won the children’s book award in 2001. This book is special too me because me and my mum had a lot of funny moments with it but it was from the library. On my 6th birthday she brought me the book. The book is about a mum wanting her daughter ‘Daisy’ to eat her peas. As Daisy does not like peas her mum bribes her with the most crazy things like: she can have 48 puddings, 2 baby elephants, 3 zebras, they would move to Superland, buy her chocolate factories, she even offers to buy her countries! But she still tells her mum that she does not like peas! The bribes get bigger and crazier as the book goes on.

If I was daisy I would would have eaten all my peas up at bribe 3 which was: stay up for an extra half hour, skip your bath and have 1 pudding. Oh no but not Daisy. Daisy agrees to eat her peas but only if her mum eats her brussels, but her mum says “but I don’t like brussels! So Daisy tells her mum EXACTLY! “I don’t like peas and you don’t like brussels, but we both like pudding.
I find this funny because Daisy does not like peas and nor do I. And Daisys’ mum does not like brussels just like my mum but we both also like pudding.

    I would rate this book 10/10 !

    Hi

I am reading the Bolds by Julian Clary and I rate it 9/10 because it is a funny book with jokes in them. The reason it is nine instead of ten is because there is an old friend of the bolds that try to save him by taking him out of the zoo. They then give the friends some bones to chew on so that the zookeeper would think the friends have killed him. The zookeeper would have thought that from before.

I hope you read this book and if you do, I hope you enjoy it too!

  11. Kush (6HA-6RH) - 17KushB says:

My name is Kush and I am reviewing Awful Auntie. Awful Auntie by David Walliams is a hilarious book. It’s about a girl called Stella Saxby who has an awful aunt called Alberta. Stella’s parents died in a car crash but Stella doesn’t know how because her dad was a steady driver. On Chester’s (Stella’s dad’s) will he said that when he died Saxby Hall (their HUGE house) would go to Stella and not to his sister Alberta. Alberta will stop at nothing to have Saxby Hall all to herself. The trouble is that Stella has a few tricks up her sleeve…

My favourite character is Wagner, Alberta’s owl, because he starts off helping Alberta but then he goes on to Stella’s side to help defeat Alberta. I don’t think he even liked Alberta in the first place!

I recommend this book to people aged 8+ but if you are younger than that and you are a strong reader then give it a go. I hope you will consider reading this book.

    I would give this book a 10/10

  12. Dia 4Ks says:

I love reading just like my sister. My favourite book is Lilly zip mouth. I like this book because Lilly is a very quite character and her Great Gran is a kind character. Lily is very shy at the beginning of the story but she opens up towards the end. I would give this book 9 stars out of 10 and would recommend this book to boys and girls from Year 3 upwards.

  13. Kush (6HA-6RH) - 17KushB says:

Hi, my name is Kush and I am reviewing The Parents Agency. Please read on.
The main character of this book is nine year old Barry Bennett, a boy with a love of James Bond and football who is jealous of his twin sisters, who are favoured by his parents and he finds them exceedingly annoying. Barry is unhappy with his parents and, as suggested by the title, he finds himself in a world where you can pick your parents. From this point the book is peopled with prospective Mums and Dads, with silly names and eccentric ways, to appeal directly to the young reader. Barry is sure that this will be his perfect solution, but is it? It becomes apparent that if you do not choose your parents by the time you are 10 and his tenth birthday is looming, something will happen. Will Barry pick in time?

I quite enjoyed the book despite some obvious outcomes from a plot with one theme and character cliches, as there were many laughs. Barry is not the most likeable of boys so if you do not care about a character you might not care to read on through a book which is really quite long, over 300 pages. Some of the jokes were a little flat, I could not help feel that if the outcome had been less predictable, that it would have been a much more suspenseful and ultimately a more enjoyable read.

There is the usual goo, snot, silliness and crazy situations, but you can’t help feeling that you have read this sort of thing loads of times before. The message is a good one as we have all felt bad about thinking bad thoughts and getting the hump with our parents but I really was hoping for more. Although it does have some entertaining laugh out loud moments, I would not give this book more than 3 and a half stars.

Hey guys – Today I’m reading Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot vs the Unpleasant Penguins from Pluto. This is one book in an adventure series about a mouse (Ricky) and a robot that team up to fight villains which try to take over Earth. In this book nasty penguins try to get revenge on the scientists of Squeakyville for saying that Pluto is not a planet because it is too small. I am half way through the story and so far two penguins join Ricky’s team to help fight back for being President Penguin’s servants. Also, Ricky’s battle against the penguins from Pluto is made harder by his interfering spoilt cousin called Lucy. The story so far is really interesting and you would like to know what happens next. Thanks for reading my blog comment and I recommend that you read this book.

    HELLO TO ALL OF ABBEY!

I am Samiksha. Recently, I have been reading ‘MY BROTHER IS A SUPERHERO’ and it is a really stupendous book to read. I will give you an extract for you to read(chapter 1):
    THE(NOT) CHOSEN ONE
My brother is a superhero, and I could have one too, except that I needed to go for a WEE!

My name is Luke Parker, I’m eleven years old and I live mild -mannered part of London with my mum, dad and big brother, Zack. He wasn’t always a superhero, but with a name like Zack you’ve got to wander if my parents had a hunch that one day he’d end up wearing a mask and cape and saving orphans from burning buildings. I mean, come on! It’s not a name, it’s a sound effect. It’s what you get in a comic when a superhero punches a supervillain. POW! BLAM! ZACK!
If you read that you will know how good it is and what it’s about.

Hope you enjoyed this review. Thank you for reading my review!
